About Me

Hi!  My name is Jen.  I just got married to my husband, Rob, in June.  We had a great wedding at Camarillo Ranch in Camarillo, CA.  Then, we took a 10 day honeymoon to Ireland and travelled around the country.  Right after we got back, we moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas so that I could start teaching.  I was a substitute teacher at a small charter school in Woodland Hills for two years while I was completing my masters degree at CSU Northridge.  I decided to apply to the school district in Las Vegas on whim - not thinking I'd get hired because I was out of state.  Well, I got an interview and got hired quite easily. They hired TONS of people from out of state because they had such a need for teachers out here.  I'll be teaching third grade at a turn around school and I'm so excited to have my own classroom.  I am definitely missing Los Angeles every single day, however.
